Only Canadian place that sells them that I know of atm is Oceanic Corals.
In the U.S. I know premium aquatics has them for sure. I’d assume there’s some others in the states that also carry them.
I did some rough numbers. If they last as long as 6 months then it’ll be about $30 more in that time frame over vodka. But the reported bennefits atm far more than pay for it imo. No Cyano or big bacterial blooms. less worry and hassle than traditional carbon dosing. ATM it sounds like a winner. atm
I was reading into the biopellets as well. Where did you order yours? They are FREAKING EXPENSIVE!!!!
Very educational, I love these how to vids.. Thanks!
np glad it helped. I may be changing dosing systems soon, but I’ll do an update on that if it occurs.
np hope it helps.
I was thinking that also, but I can’t see it being any worse than vodka dosing. I’ll probably put the outlet of the biopellets in front of the skimmer to help put oxygen in the BP water.
hmmm I may do something like that soon. I’m getting some things in the mail that will automate my carbon system. Hopefully it’ll be here soon.
Great video! I think a good HowTo video would be how to make a dosing system for your tank that slowly drips vodka, calcium, food, etc. into your tank.
im thinking the bio pellets might rob some oxygen form your tank if its in the reactor….but idk :S maybe something might get trapped you know ? :S
Thanks for all the great info so quick.
Thanks a lot, this video really helped me out a lot!
