I had a rainbow fish and a red tailed black shark and they did good.
@FishLover563 Take it easy, they are just being fish. None of them are getting hurt. If I thought that one or both of them were being injured, I would separate the aggressor to another tank.
DIE STUPID RAINBOWFISH!
you could be right…
Looks like a PNG Rainbow judging from the shape not Australian
Cheers
It’s in a garage. The garage doesn’t have any walls, that’s why you hear the wind-chimes. I have a heater, for the colder months here in Kaneohe, Hawaii. Without the heater, the temperature could drop to as low as 58 degrees, at times.
Is that tank outdoors? I hear wind chimes and I see a garden terrace in the background, lol.
That was more like “red tailed shark bucking rainbowfish”
The problem with rad-tails is that they are very aggressive and territorial. It might not be a good idea to have him with the rainbow, or other fish.
It’s lava rocks, that I formed into a cave. The rocks are covered with algae.
hey man, i was just wondering what are those rock things with the moss all over them?
ABout a year.
How long does it take for them to grow that size
Was it always that dark because my shark is dark grey and ive had it for 2 weeks
if feed them just normal flake food what do u feed him and how big is he?
It eats flake food. If yours is not eating perhaps, the quality of the water is not that good. I change my water once a week. About 30%. In Hawaii, the water is not chlorinated, so it’s very easy. I just drain about 30%, and refill, directly from the tap.
nice red tail shark. i hav a red tail and ive never seen him eat………can u giv me sum tips on wat ur feeding urs please………..=)
Just plain old moss, that I was having a hard time getting rid of. Finally, it started to die off. Now the tank is completely void of that moss. All I have now is regular algae, which is easy to control with two mystery snails. I don’t have any idea as to why the moss slowly died off.
what kinda plants is that? java moss? i would like to know plz thanks
any pet shop. They go for about $2.00 each.
umm where can you get the red tailed black shark???
red tails tend to be highly territorial and can get quite aggresive sometimes … this usually leads to a high stress level for all the fish in your tank as its constantly chasing or harrasing fish it finds threatening.
my advice get one of them into another tank or add additional places for the fish to hide in. You can also try rearranging the decorations in the tank which tends to confuse the establised territorial areas and can help the harrased fish to settle into a new area in the tank.
Im not worried. That redtail shark is about three years old. It has two new tank mates: a five inch electric blue cichlid and a three inch electric yellow cichlid. The idea is to have enough fish in your tank, so that each fish can get lost in the crowd! No fish in the tank is getting picked-on. They may chase each other a litle, but no harm done.
dude your redtail was to quick for him and when he gets older and more agreesive he will start to fight him more thats how they are i have a babie one and hes calm as can but soon he will take scales off that fish if he backs down mine is a babie and he is fighting and taking scales of goldfish 3 times his sixe he flesh is showing in sum wounds dude you better watch it if the fat fish backs down cuz my 1in redtail battled 10 in goldfish and goldfish bac down look what happened to him warnin you
