Platys are neat, I've had red ones, but they get territorial and aggressive when pregnant. Female bettas can get mischievous and annoying to other fish, including corys. Some say they'l fight with each other, but I've never, nor will experiment. Unless your hell bent on the angels, I'd skip them too. I'm still wondering what my fascination was with them as a kid. Congo tetras get large, and will, if anything, aesthetically clash with the rest of the tank. Though they are large enough to just cause problems on their own, anyway.
