simple tubes, upside down containers with holes in. etc. but remember to make sure any plastic isnt toxic to fish *try to avoid plastic alltogether, and and holes arent left sharp for the fish to catch themselves. you can get cheap things like a simple joiner tube like this one
but make sure they are big enough so the fish dont get stuck. you can get nice ones like used in this video
they look cool too. as far as making your own decorations there isnt alot of options… as most home things arent suitable. thats why they make specialised plastic decor for tanks. have fun and be creative! good luck x chloe x
p.s cool ive never thought of putting cocunuts in tanks, ive seen them in reptile setups but not in tanks. good idea. x
Clay flowerpot or a clay pipe, just the normal orange terracotta ones.
Pieces of slate, cheap from a garden landscape place. Just stack them up to make caves.

I’m with Ian, clay pots are great. I had a 55 gal cichlid tank with a whole mess of pots in different sizes and strewn about in different ways, the fish really took to them.
