Pet Tarantula or Scorpion?

I want a pet. Want one that doesnt require a lot of cleaning. One that just stands and walks around its little cage (dont know what those boxes are called) and looks cool. One that i can take out of its cage once in a while to show to people, also so it can walk on my bed for a while and let it crawl on me. So now deciding between a tarantula or an emperor scorpion. But Which one is less aggressive and wont bite/sting me less? And which one has the most painful bite/sting? Which requires the least amount of money for supplies. ex: light, food, etc.? I already have a 10 gallon glass aquarium, is that big enough for one spider or one scorpion? So which of the two is best for me?

Ive never owned one personally but my uncle and friends have. I cant and wont say which is less aggressive since each indivual is differnt. Some can be docile some can be mean. But generally i believe the tarantualas are less likely to bite ya then the scorpion. As for which hurts more. It depends are the species of spider. Most that are sold are like a bee sting. A very painful bee sting. I dont know about the scorpion since my friends has never stung them(but then they dont handle it.) both will require a under tank heater(which are about 15 on ebay with shipping) food is gonna cost ya in the long run! I have geckos and they both eat a ton and crickets are going up and up! so that will be the biggest thing. A ten gallon is PLENTY of room for either. Most people just get little critter keepers for them.
    So lets add this up
    undertank heater 15
    sand 5(ish not sure)
a hide 5-8 (both will need on)
    a water dish 4
the price its self for the critter 10-30(depending on what kind and where ya get them)
    crickets a little under 3 for 12
decor(if you choose to use it) 10-15
a place for the crickets 5
food and water gells 10(use liquid gells for the crickets saves ya from drowned ones)

i cant say which is best for you since its more or less just gonna be a show peice but both are very neat to watch. If you cant deside in the end you could get both and devide the 10 gallon in two and get both. ^^
but id say go with the tarantula~

Hi i own them both there aint much difference in the care of them or the bite/sting all same as a bee sting, but the choice is only yours to make…..go with what feels best for you an call into a local exotic pet shop an you will decide what you want.

as for under tank heater for a spider….well i dont use them i use room temp an works well for me with all my spider i.e 30, where scorpions i do i.e 3 emperor.
