Paddle Tail Newt questions?
Im looking into getting a Paddle Tail Newt for my 15 Gallon aquarium its a newly cycled aquarium with only some ghost shrimp and a gold fish currently residing in it.
i have a couple of questions
How big do Paddle tails get?
Could i keep a dwarf snakeskin gourmi with it?
Could i keep a pleco with it?
Could i keep a dwarf african clawed frog with it?
Will it eat my calico fancy goldfish?
i am sure these sound like strange questions but those are some things i am intrested in maybe keeping with it. if those are not able to be safly kept with a newt what is? oh and yes i already know the ghost shrimp will be eaten i originally planned on getting angel fish but thinking i would like a newt more becuase i havent got a heater in my tank and were told they prefere cooler water.
thanks
nice one kyle XDXD
i appreciate that i know i may have sounded rude but i have seen alot of stupid people on here (and in person) who have gone out and gotten things like that thinking its just somthing to look at that it will care for itself and tarantulas and scorpions can cause legal problems that people dont realize. its not often that people tell you the bad parts about getting a pet so i try too to keep people from expecting too much and an animal getting stuck in a miserable home. but i do appreciate people reminding others to do there research thanks you guys and be rest assured i have not gotten a newt yet nor will i untill i know whats all involved and know if i can care for it.
p.s the reason i have askeis becuase i seen on a couple of websites that people were keeping those types of fish with theres thats why i asked.

they get 6-7 inches i don’t about what fish it can live with and you really need to think before you get any animal of the commitment and not buy it just because your friends will think it’s totally awesome.
i would seriously advise you did some research before you get any newt, all the fish you have listed are tropical and all newts are cold water animals, paddle tails shouldnt be kept over 21C (17-19C is a good temp) where the fish and frog listed need to be kept at around 23-28C
paddled tailed newts are noted for there large size and agressive territorial behavior and need alot of room to be kept with those of the same species and should never be housed with things like fish or other amphibians
