Mysterious White Blobs in 10 gal aquarium?
When I got back from work today I noticed some white blobs on the side of my 10 gallon tank (which consists of 2 corrys, 2 common plecos, and 5 baby red phantom tetras). As I looked more into my tank I saw that they were throughout the tank, on some plants, on the gravel a few behind the heater. They look like a small ball that is somewhat clear but have a white tint to them but in the middle there is something white. I added a second pleco over the weekend because someone did not want them which is the only thing I can think of. Does anyone know what this might be?
Its not fungus because that looks like it has little hairs on them and I know what they look like. I do have a bigger 29 gallon tank in which the plecos will be going in soon. Who could have put these sacs here then? the plecos? the corys are two different kinds.

sounds like bacteria or fungus, which would be growing on extra food. remove them and cut back on feeding a bit.
also, I hope you have another tank for the plecos as they grow, they need at least a 30g because they get well over 18″

good to know the plecos will be moved, I don’t mean to sound like I’m accusing you of being a bad owner or anything, just allot of people don’t know how large they get :
anyway, there are a lot of different fungi, not all are hairy. as I said it could also be bacteria.
it’s called egg sack you need to get them and put them in a nursery net or you fish well eat them!!!!!!
Sounds like a fungus or somethink, i had this after i cleaned out my fish tank, as i had left it standing for 1-2 years with water in, i just scraped them of, and it was fine.
