Every filter makes noise but when you let it run for a while eventually it will stop.Put something under the air pump, to stop some pressure against the floor.

they are silent when your water is filled really high and the water is bushing over the top of the other water, not it going down 3 iches until it reaches the water. and it helps to pour a pitcher of water through the filter, and it makes it run.

most filters are noisy at first, they need to slime up, it s takes 2 weeks usually then they run quiet.

this is what all fillters do it means that it is vibrating. what i do is get some vibration pads and stick them on and it stops. if you dont want to do theis then you will get use to the noise and after a week if it is not there it makes you mad!
