Thisis my new turtle and fish tank it is= — 8 foot by 2foot by 2foot — 239 US gallons or 906 liters it has guppies ,cory catfish and neon tetras in there the 4 turtles are river cooters about 200 fish + in total
lol i wouldnt say they make the tank look cooler and i have the rocks in there for the fish as there is like a cave under them and also the wood is on top of them that they bask on
yeah that does sound a lot ..maybe you can get a sceond hand one cheaper ? and to be honest it would be cheaper in the long run to get a musk turtle as they grow to half the size and they wont eat fish and a much less dirty ….and no my plants are store bought
very interesting…. a 100 gallon tanks are very expensive, I believe they are about 300 US dollars. Since I am in New Jersey, it is legal to own a turtle but illegal to buy (what a website told me) I can order one online still. Online Musk turtles are much more expensive then red ear sliders so I might go for the bigger tank. Also did you get those plants from a store, cause some people get plants from local ponds.
yeah turtles do make great pets if you have the time and look after them , if you get a musk turtle they will only grow to about 6 inches and would live in a 100 gallon , a 20 gallon would defently not to sutable for a adult turtle but ok as a started for a few months ,if your thinking about a red eared slider then you will probly need a bigger tank …and yes them plants are real ,
oh I see, I am seriously thinking about getting another pet and I am thinking about turtles. I have read about them and many people say a 20 gallon tank is a minimum but I think that is a bit small. The biggest I would go for would be 100 gallon. I plan to have two turtles though, would you recommend any size tank? and are those plants real or fake?
no i have 1 female in this tank ..and she isnt quite old enough …i have 2 more females in other tanks but there pretty young too
have your turtles ever laid eggs?

You should build an above tank basking area so you don’t have to take up so much space with rocks stacked up in the tank. Also they can make the tank look cooler.
yeah funny you say that lol i thort that like a few weeks ago and i took the guppies out and put oscars and hoplo catfish lol so i now have some big fish

lol i have hundereds of fish in that tank and i want the turtles to eat them….and i dont think you need a turtle to work out that they eat fish
i have a turtle and if your fish are ever missing it was your turtle

lol, the turtle im taking care of; i got it 7 small guppies to eat, he ate 3 and actually has cohabitated with the others. im getting some small goldfish tommorow
no my turtles arent wild caught (people who catch them are idiots ) and the turtles dont shit them self anymore i dont no why they used to do that

my razorback musk turtles lives with my 2 red eared sliders .
my musk is in a tank by him self (4ft) and he likes it ..hes too shy to be put with really livelly turtles …hes fine by him self tho
