My 28 Gallon Bow Front Freshwater Fish Tank

This is a video of my 28 gallon tank. I have 6 Red Wags, 1 Rasboro, 3 Tetra, 1 Swordfish, 1 Molly, 2 Cory, Some Fry and 1 Bala Shark whom is about 6 inch in length right now. He is the king of my tank. Soon I will be moving him to a 46 gallon bow front which I’m sure he will love. The shark is definitely my pride of the tank. Hope you like my video.

@fig069 i hate it when that happens! that happened to my *rare* betta! Bala sharks really are pretty peaceful fish evn though there big

No he didn’t he was a great fish. Unfortunately he died a few weeks ago from a fungus that I thought went away, but didn’t. I measured his length and he was 8 1/2 inches. I really miss this fish and wished I could have saved him. I may get another, but still debating. I still have my I.D. shark though whom is about the same size in my 46 gallon bow. Check out the video when you get a chance.

  4. jasonlsch says:

wow your bala shark actually didn’t eat/attack the smaller fish while it was in there?

  5. fig069 says:

This is not my set up anymore I have moved the fish to a bigger tank. And also have a smaller number of fish now too. Please see my other video of the 46 gallon bow I know own.

Sorry to hear that….I’ve been wanting to do chichlids as well, but I’m waiting to upgrade my tank since they will be in the 46 gallon and my current fish would go in a 300 or 500 gallon tank.

Sorry to hear that about the catfish. My shark(s) are now in my 46 gallon bow front that I now own. Check it out on my page. I hope to one day get them a bigger home like a 300 gallon or 500 gallon tank.

mine decided to eat the tail off of 2 of my asain glass catfish, so i had to move the catfish to a 18gal, the shark it going into a 50gal soon and will be joined by another one.

    i have 2 albino sharks,they breeded 4 months ago.

  16. fig069 says:

I have never seen him eat any of my fish not even the guppies when I had them. Now if they have babies then yes he will eat them.

  17. gerardk94 says:

will the bala shark not eat the fish?

  18. mushroomfart says:

lil it depends you might want a lot of space in the tank cause rainbow sharks are very territorial but if the rainbow messes with a bala shark the the rainbow shark is going to get screwed.

  19. fig069 says:

Be careful I tried doing just two bala sharks and one always died on me because they don’t get along. The are a community fish, but there should be more then just two. Generally they should be kept 6 or more or just 1. Maybe you’ll have better luck, just keep an eye on them. And remember they get big mine is about 8 inches. They are known to get 14 in. Good Luck!.

Thanks sooo much I am getting 2 bala sharks today and a few more guppies also I have a 46 gallon bow front I have 3 turtles in it i finaly get to use it for fish I sold my turtles yesterday and the person I sold them to I am meeting infront of petco so I get to buy dome decorations and alot of other stuff!!

  21. fig069 says:

No they will get along fine just know that rainbow sharks are territorial so allow it to have a hiding spot of it’s own. And Thanks! Feel free to see my other video of my now 46 gallon bow.

i have a rainbow shark , if i get a bala shark will they fight? beautiful tank

  23. wrobe00011 says:

    awesome tank XD

  24. kensington25 says:

    Awesome and beautiful :)

  25. fig069 says:

Yes you should always have a filter. And you can never overkill your tank either with filtration. I now have a 46 gallon bow front which I will post one day, but I use the penguin 200 filter which is made for a 50 gallon tank. I run two of these so basically it’s like have a 100 gallon filtration system. You of course don’t need to go this far if you don’t want. But I would make sure you at least have a little more filtration then required. So if have a 10 gallon tank use a 20 gallon filter
