Many Questions(Including but not limited to): Can I use Windex to clean the outside of my Aquarium?

Will windex or other glass cleaners be okay to use on the outside of my saltwater aquarium? Also by hiding powerheads or heaters behind live or tufa rock will that effect the performance of the equiptment? Also is a grounding probe a very good idea I don’t feel and electricity in my aquarium but are fish more sensative to it, or is it a “just in case”?? Should I but my powerhead towards the top or towards the bottom? Any tips on how to hide wires in the tank?? Please help in any way you can!!! Thanks!

No, if you use Windex on the outside of your Aquarium nothing is going to happen. Yes, there are some tips how hide your wires :1. Put the wires back of the tank .
    2. Tie the wires together with some duck tape.

hi, i wouldnt use any spray chemical near your aquarium, saltwater set ups aren’t cheap so its not really worth the risk, some soapy water on a cloth might be ok. hiding your powerhead and heater shouldnt be a problem as long as there is enough water movement to circulate all the water, putting a powerhead at both the top and bottom on a slighty reduced flow could help this. i would definatly recommend a grounding probe, not worth risking your life or at the very least, that of your fish and coral. hiding wires inside your tank can be difficult, if they are outside, putting a background on the tank will help, but with wires inside the tank, its more difficult, but im sure your tank will be looking so great, nobody will be noticing cords and wires! hope this helps you!

DON’T use Windex! It is toxic and contains ammonia.
    Use stuff specifically for aquariums:
