List of aquarium equipment?

This is for a 20 gallon and 65 gallon freshwater aquarium.

On my list so far I have:
thermometer
net
Cycle or BioSpira
salt
decorations (bogwood, fake plants or rocks)
conditioner
air pump/air stones
live plants
fish
gravel
pump/filter
bucket
fish food
plant food
hood
light
timer
heater
Am I missing anything? Let me know, as I am not entirely sure of what is needed otherwise…
THANKS!!!!!!!!
Oh yeah, i forgot that I did have a gravel cleaner (siphon)
Please do not tell me I do not need things. I want/ need everything I have listed. And yes, ‘hannova’ I have researched the fish I want, in depth. Also, I have a test kit, a Master TestKit. Besides, I have had success with fish cycling. I BELIEVE that bio spira works, and thats my opinion. I am only asking for what I am missing here, which is apparently nothing, as no one seems to be able to give me something I can use! Thanks, but no thanks. If you have something to add, please make it useful.

siphon or python for water changes.

This may sound dumb, but cross “fish” off the list for now. You should think about what kinds you’d like to keep, but don’t worry about getting them until after the tanks cycle. Adding fish before the cycle is complete often results in dead or sickly fish.

I don’t think that Cycle or BioSpora are necessary to cycle a tank either, and I don’t think they add anything to the process. If you are using live plants, they will have bacteria on them, and they can be planted in the tank of conditioned water after the filter is set up and as soon as the dust from the gravel/substrate settles and the temp and Ph are stable. And your lights, of course!

Fish food added to the water will provide the waste needed by the growing bacteria.

I would add to your list some test kits instead. Ph, Ammonia, Nitrite and Nitrate. These tests will help you determine your water quality and where you are in the cycle process.

    a syphon?
there’s some stuff you don’t really need… the air pumps, the water pumps (but you still need a filter, they are two different things) and plant food in most instances, or a timer

a master test kit just means it tests for trite, trate, ammo, and pH… the actually tests may be worth diddly-squat, API a rather respested brand in the AQ world makes horrible ‘master’ test kits.
if you want to spend your money on stuff you don’t need be my guest… you may also want to look into undergravel filters, UV steralizers, Ozonators, phosphate reactors, and auto dosers.
