Lazareth’s New Fish Tank
by Aquaboy on Tuesday, February 9th, 2010 | 26 Comments
I bought a new tank for my fish Lazareth today – twenty sweet gallons of fresh water to swim and bathe in. I hope you enjoy your new home Lazareth. Update: Lazareth sadly passed away on August 31, 2008. He was 4.5 years old. He will be missed.

Thanks Classicblast. You are so nice! How is your son doing?
Haven’t spoken to you in so long!
Lazareth lived almost 5 years. You may read of some amazing story that a goldfish lived 15 years or something even sometimes a even more unusual story but truthfully 4 or 5 years is pretty long for a goldfish to live. Sometimes you get them home and they die within a few days or weeks. Chosebin25 gave Lazareth a good life and over year after Lazareth’s passing he still has fans!!!
sigh you just upgraded it to a 20 gallon what was it in before ? and that 20 gallon is tiny.. that fish should have been in a 55 gallon plus tank. maybe then it wudnt of died…
beautiful fish ! im so sorry he died ,
R.I.P lazareth
chubby and cute
hahaha hes so chubby
sorry for his loss
you know, im sure he was one of the happiest goldfish ever. so everyone stop. you know, HOW MANY HUMANS HAVE LIVED OUR SPECIES LIFESPAN????? not a lot. and no fish dies of old age. neither does any human. they die of some organ shutting down and being weak. but none actually dies of old age itsself.. im sure it was a very happy fish
OMG! im so sorry D-=… its strange… my guinea pig passed away on the same day!

Did you cycle the tank before putting him in?
Well, at least she didn’t put him in a bowl!
hey, hows it going? don’t give up on keeping fish. infact, this video has rekindled my spark to care more for my fish.
It will be back on again shortly. Thanks for your loyal viewing Classicblast! Happy New Year!
Did you remove the original Fish Movie with Lazareth and his two tankmates?
He lost most of his colour from ammonia burn and stress, more likely.
Then you are an ignorant human being and should not have pets, if you think a fish living to less than a 6th of his expected life span and then dying because he couldn’t breathe in his tank is “a good life” .
I’m sorry that Lazareth passed away. Keep his videos on please. He was such a great fish.
And you took excellent care of him. He was nearly five years old as he was probably more than that he was probably at least a year by the time he was sold to you. So he lived pretty long. Reports say that goldfish can live thirty years is kind of a hoax that’s like saying people live 140 years because someone did once. A fish somewhere along the line lived 40 years that does not mean they all should.
I do feel bad about the small tank but I still think he lived a good life.
He did not die of old age. Fantails live over 30 years with proper care, which you obviously didn’t give him for most of his life. I’m still appalled that you kept him in a 5 gallon for so long.
Thank you for the nice wishes. You are a very sweet and thoughtful person.
its okay at least he lived a good life and she lived yours day by day too make him happy please Live on and remember you gave him a good life
I think he just died of old age. He wasn’t eating as much and not swimming as much so I knew things were not looking good. I got my chance to say good bye as I had a bad feeling he wasn’t going to make it.
if its not too hard to tell me how did he die?
Thank you. Lazareth brought a lot of happiness to my life and I was lucky that he lived for so long. I am also happy that I made these videos as they are a good way of looking at him swimming around again even though I don’t see him everyday now.
