Is the “Top Fin” brand of aquarium filter any good?

The pet store carries this kind as part of their aquarium start-up kits. I really need something that’s quiet because the room I’ll have the tank in is also my bedroom/study. Is it a good brand? Quiet? Low-maintenance? Thanks!
I’m planning to buy a 20-gallon aquarium and have saltwater fish.

I bought my own 10g Top Fin aquarium this past weekend and it is running very quietly. I can barely hear it if I have no other noise in my room. I think it is a good brand…and it was on sale at my Petsmart lol.
Yes, I use it all the time.. Top fin is pretty reliable and it is quiet. My tank is in my room and I can hardly hear it. It last a long time too so you don’t have to buy new stuff all the time…just change the filter insert every couple of weeks
yes it is
It’s Petsmart’s store brand, and it’s sort of an economy line. It’s probably only a little noisier than most others, and the maintenance is about the same as comparable filters of other brands, but it probably won’t last as long as the better brands of aquarium equipment.
If noise is a big consideration, you might want to consider a canister filter, such as an Eheim, Fluval, Marineland, or ViaAqua. They are remarkably quiet.
If you tell us how big your tank will be and what you plan to keep in it, we could make more specific recommendations.
The Marineland Penguin Bio Wheel 150B is what I use for my 20 gallon. It is found at Petsmart.
Marineland products always get excellent reviews, and rightly so.
