Is my neon tetra fish sick? I have 6 of them, and one is not as bright as the others?

just to be safe seperate him and then feed him regularly and see how much he is eating, also check your water. if you bring a sample of your water to petco they will test it for you for free
i used to have a neon tetra.it was frightened by the big gold fish so it hid in the gravel and got stuck there.then it died.it was funny…
Kathy’s evil! I would try to quarantine it and see how it acts. If it is still acting sick in a couple of days I’d take it tot he fish store to get him/her checked out.
Sometimes neons tetras come down with a strange “neon tetra disease” where they pretty much just stop eating, lose color, and die mysteriously. There is no known cure for it, and I have heard of it spreading to other tetras in the group. I would isolate him. Although you could try treating him with an antibacterial just in case, it may not work–but at least you tried. Do could also do a large water change in case it is pollutants causing this.
My neons had ich a few days ago, one still has the remnants of ich and is duller than the others and less active. If you just got him, and I mean just got him (maybe a few hours ago) I wouldn’t worry, tetras get super stressed and dim when you just buy them. If he’s been in there for a while I’d take him out quarantine him in oh at least a 2 gallon with filtration. The weather outside is warm enough that you probably don’t need a heater. Give him some aquarium salt, make sure that he eats. Try to give him as little stress as possible. Sooner or later your neon will get better ^^ It just takes time.
True your tetra could have neon tetra disease but I would still keep on treating him… Also Kathy, sadly enough you sound like me
I used to throw my hamsters up in the air for the fun of it, none of them died due to it (though one did drop dead when I was playing with it D:) but boy was I evil then …..
