I have set up 40 gallon tank,
I have lots of plants in it, but because i was setting up, plants died and left decay, which is causing algae,
is it a good idea to get algae remover like , golden algae remover, or can i use chemicals like Algone

just scrub the tank with an algae sponge and then do weekly water changes of at least 20% so the algae growth is minimal, if you haven’t already, remove the dead plant
it would be better to remove it by hand even though it is tedious, try to avoid adding chemicals when it can be avoided.
well maybe you should go to the pet store and ask them and see what they think I have 2 algea eatters in my 10 gallon tank.
