Is a Picotope a Good Aquarium?

I am looking for a small aquarium. I like the Picotope setup and look. But i don’t know if the filter is good or how well built it is. Also, what are some other good, small aquariums with no top and a lamp above? Or what are just some good aquarium kits in general?

Any help would be great.

Honestly, I think they’re a little too small to properly house any fish. Unless you manage to find one that’s at least 7 gallons (do they even make them that big?), the only fish you can comfortably house in there is a single betta.

The filters are fine, from reviews I’ve seen online. Not too loud, do the job, etc.

I’d be a little leery about putting any fish in a tank with no cover, however, as most of them will jump whenever they see fit (bettas are notorious jumpers). For that reason, I really would not suggest any tank without a lid/hood.

If you want a good kit, look into an Eclipse 6 ($50 from Walmart: ), otherwise, it’d really be cheaper to put together pieces for your own tanks. 10 gallon tanks generally run about $10, you can get decent filters for around $15, heaters at around $15.

reed the reviews on the picotope at the bottom of the site to make your decision about it..
The second site is where you can go look at other tanks and compare them…
    best of luck:)
