If you own a fish in a half gallon bowl please answer!?

Well my sister just got one female betta fish. It is in a half gallon bowl. We need to put in some aquarium water conditioner. The directions only say 5ml for every ten gallons. Could you tell me how many drops to put in. It removes chlorine and helps their skin. Also she doesn’t have any skin damage. Please tell me how many drops to put in for a half gallon tank. Also the brand name is Stress Coat.

First off, your Betta will be a lot happier and longer-lived if you put it in a larger space.
But for the water conditioner, just put one drop in.

It would be 1/2 ml per gallon. basically, one drop would be fine – or you could treat a full ten gallons and store it in a bucket for the water changes. Congratulations on getting a betta. Please bear in mind that in order to be truly happy, these fish need more space than 1/2 gallon. Their ideal minimum tank size would be 5 gallons with a filter and a heater to maintain the water temperature they need. If you have room for a larger tank, you could look into getting what is called a sorority tank, which is a group of female bettas. With your 1/2 gallon bowl, you will need to do daily partial water changes since there is probably no room for a filter. Even with a filter, you would still need to do a partial water change every 3 – 4 days to maintain the water quality.

    lets see so
10g-5ml so divid by 5 is
    2g-1ml and then half is
    1g-.50ml so half that
    .5g-.25
so that will be a quarter of a milli liter and i dont think you can measure that so i would only do 1 ml
just put 1 drop and the water should already be de cloranited just get a gallon of milk and put water in it and put a few drops in it to begin with it and use it when you change water

This is easy for a 1/2 gallon..alway have a 1/2 or 1 gallon used milk container filled with fresh water from the tap. After 24 hours it will be free of chlorine and ready for your little tank. save $$$ and the anxiety about how much chemicals you need to add to your tank. This method is harder for bigger tanks, but the idea is the same. have Fun!!

none of these answers are right.

first of all a half gallon tank is fine for a betta fish. they do not require a lot of room especially when you only have one (and you usually don’t do very well with other fish, and definitely not with another male betta fish)

next time you change the water use 6 DROPS of your dechlorinator.
you’re supposed to add ONE TEASPOON worth of drops to a 10 GALLON TANK. so if you do the math…

there are 120 drops in a teaspoon
    120 drops = 1 teaspoon = 5ml

    120 drops = 10 gallons
    60 drops = 5 gallons
since you have a HALF GALLON you need to find out how many drops are needed for 1 GALLON.
    it would be
    120 divided by 10 = 12 drops
    or
    60 divided by 5 = 12 drops

so for a 1 GALLON tank you would use 12 drops.
for a HALF GALLON tank you would use 6 drops.

    hope this helped!
    xoxo
