I Think My Betta Fish Is Sick, What Should I Do?
by Aquaboy on Monday, August 30th, 2010 | 3 Comments
Today I noticed that my betta fish’s tail is slightly pink/reddish color on thee ends. He is blue but the blue turns into white right as his tail is ending. He is also not swimming as much he just sits in one spot and moves ever once in a while. Is he sick? and what should I do?

tell him not to be sick anymore.
If it’s what I think it is, your fish will die. I don’t know the actual term for what your fish has, but when I worked at PetsMart we would get fish every now and then that had this same condition. There is nothing you can do to help your betta, and if you have any other fish in your betta bowl / tank I would suggest you move them to another tank. It is very contagious.
If it’s not that, it could be some sort of fungus or bacteria. In that case, you could go to a pet store and find medicine in the fish care section.
Sounds like fungus which can be treated with fungus remover. If not he might just be getting old.
