I got a fish tank from a friend without a stand. I need to know what gallon it is.?

The measurements are 30 X 19 X 12 (sides). If you can help be that’d be great. Also, I wanted to just get some coy fish for this tank. Any suggestions on how to start the tank would be great, I know to get a filter and let the water sit for a day or two, any other things I need to know? Do I have to have a lid? Thanks.

Approx 29 gallons
Not even close to suitable for Koi(?)
OK for a couple of fancy goldfish or all sorts of small / medium tropical fish.
Have read here for some good beginner info.

get some goldfish not koi, u never go wrong with that. u don’t really need a lid but u could always find a cheap one somewhere which will also give ur tank some light. if you really want a good lively tank check water temps with a heater, and check ph levels. OR u sould get a school of guppies, they are easy to care for, pretty colorful, lively and cheap.
