a couple of bala sharks are nice. freshwater tropical semi agressive heated and flake food
wow a shark! sharks generally live in tropical (or warmer water) areas. depends on the type you choose. and mostly in salt water, right? except in one part of Jaws (:

well if ur tank is only 75-80 gallons then ur pretty much looking at freshwater sharks only so ya bala or rainbow or tricolor are all good, any saltwater shark u can buy as pet will be way to big for that tank.
Unless you have a 10,000 gallon tank (or at minimum a 500 gallon tank) you can rule out a salt water shark. Some stupid people get sharks, but they get too big for their tanks and then die. I used to work at a fish specialty shop and we had a several thousand gallon tank with a black tip reef shark and you would not believe how many panicked calls we’d get from people trying to give us their sharks!
You can get a bala shark or a red tail shark and they need a heated aquarium. A combo of dried and live food is best.
Live food? What do you do, throw a kid in there?
If you want saltwater sharks you will need a larger tank, even small species like Cat Sharks need tanks in the over 150 gallon range.
The freshwater fish called “sharks” are in a completely different Family.
Judging by your question, your first purchase should be several good introductory books. You need to know a lot more before spending money on equipment or fish.
i think you should get like 2 or 3 bala sharks!!
then, since theyre totally um, community, you could get a bunch more cool fish.
well, not a buch, because balas get big but like more. or whatever.
get some kuhli loaches:::)
One very small shark. My land scaper told me that my 6 x 6 x 2′ pond held 450 gallons and that I could put 3 small koi fish in it.
I would choose freshwater, very easy to maintain, and it wouldn’t be a correct environment size for a saltwater shark. Freshwater sharks are amazing as well!
You should throw in 2-3 Silver-Tipped Sharks. I wouldn’t choose Bala Sharks. Did you know that they are just minnows? Yep – Bala Sharks are genetically altered minnows.
Use a heated tank — around 78 degrees.
Silver-Tipped Sharks like flake, live and/or frozen.
Here’s the Silver-Tipped Shark –

Don’t get a bala shark. Bala sharks get 12 to 13 inches.
So they would need a hundred gallon tank or larger (perferably a larger tank than just a 100 gallon).
They need a lot of swimming space. Silver tipped sharks get 12 to 14 inches long. So they would need a larger tank as well.
I would suggest a red-tailed shark or rainbow shark. Red-tailed sharks get about 5 inches and the rainbow shark gets about 6. They would both do well in a 75 to 80 gallon tank. Just make sure you only get one. They get more territorial with their own kind with age and they can be semi-aggressive. So make sure not to get very small fish. Medium or large sized fish would be fine.
First of all there is a website called aquarium-fishtalk.com. Second of all, this guy is trying to buy a tank for a shark. I hope he is also out there searching
