I added too much tap water conditioner to my fishtank. How long should I wait to introduce fish?

I know that usually a tank has to be set up for three days before you can put in goldfish but how much longer than that should I wait if I accidentally added five times the amount of tap water conditioner.
I haven’t bought the fish yet

if you have no tank to store the fish in and their in the plastic bag with air then just change some water out and put in clean fresh water maybe a 20% water change and they try to introduce them but i never used any conditioner for my tanks before and my fishes did good they died but it was only because my clow loach was nipping them

a month.. you need to cycle the tank!!

three days is rubbish, you will kill the fish, a goldfish needs 10gallons each fish and the tank needs to be cycled with double filtration or your fish will die
