no, that seems just about right.

  6. nosyiam says:

Is 3 swordtails 4 ghost shrimp 3 albino corys and 1 snail to much for a 20 gallon long tank with a filter for a 30 gallon tank

  7. agaragarlove says:

@nosyiam Yes I think. The fish will have too much stress and die.

Try getting rid of some ghost shrimp. They only eat/clean glasses so as the apple snails.

Other fish could eat smaller fish, so beware.

I think Ftprimp meant a plecostomus… not a catfish, though similar, pleco’s are usually more talented in the art of tank cleaning :)

LOL i tried to scroll up thinking i would see the top half of the tank. Fail

  12. snakeguy0942 says:

nothing would happen if the power went out, it is just like holding a cup upside down filled with water in a sink or tub. there would not be any pressure pressing on the upper part of the tank but the pressure pressing from the pond section holds the upper section up.

  13. 1uhot4 says:

well that some shit i would not want, i would wonder what would happen if the power went out! Hopefully u put it out side or in the garrage or something, poor fishes!lol

  14. Tang526 says:

how often do you clean the tanks?

  15. spdzne says:

@PoftheBR there ya go, for people who do not want to build from scratch and have the money, they could use a 40 gal long and 20 gallon tall in the center…

  16. Ftprimp says:

i said sucker fish not buttum feeder catfish DUUUUUH!

most catfish are buttum feeders duuuh

do some research before you say inything

  17. JamesBeason8 says:

I had a 15″ bottum feeder cat fish and he did not do shit I got rid of he cuz he did nothing good for the tank after he was removed the water health was better

  18. Ftprimp says:

    just get 9 sucker fish!!!

  19. edeikuliu says:

there is a bottom part of the tank of glass that keeps the water up so its bascially an illusion since you cant really see the glass at the bottom.

  20. edeikuliu says:

pressure of the bottom tank is different from the top
The bottom has a also a cover of the botton tank so it also causes a pressure to hold up on water and even without the electricity it can stay balanced. Kinda like a illusion to your eyes. without the glass thats between the big tank and skinny one it would just *drop* down to the level of water on the button.

I treid making one of these tanks and it works !! it is a pain to get it started but if u got right circulation and a good algae eater… the top tank (so far) hhasnt really gotta be scrubbed .
my tank isnt quite as nice as this one but I’m working on it…and I bet mine was cheaper.I paid a total of 28 buks for mine(glass cutter silicone and a hose.)(glass got free from the internet).Give it a try ,its not that hard.
click my name to see the vid of the one I made.feel free to commnt

  24. PoftheBR says:

You could place one tank upside down on risers, inside of another.

  25. PoftheBR says:

Negative pressure and a partial vacuum. Have you ever seen one of those dog bowls with a 2 liter bottle?
