How to add sand to an established aquarium with discus fish

Hi so I bought this ph neutral sand from the pet store for my 75 gal aquarium. I washed it in a 5 gal bucket until the water ran clear. Than into a juice jug i slowly added the sand into the tank and gently poured it out across my aquarium. It only took about 2 hrs I used 3 bags. And the fish are all fine in the tank and love the sand. It’s slightly cloudy but my carbon filter eliment will take care of that in a few days.
