you have 2 many fish for that size tank
your water parameters must be checked for ammonia and nitrite i bet they are sky high that is why your fish are sick
you don’t need to add salt treat the cause of the illness
What are all the types of fish in this tank?
How long has this tank been set up?
Did you cycle the tank before adding fish?
What are your readings for Ammonia, Nitrite and Nitrate?
I would suspect that there is definitely a water quality problem and obviously you have some parasite issues as well. I would not recommend adding any salt until you tell us all the species of fish you have.
With every water change. The concentration of salt always stays the same in water, unless you take some water out and add some back in. If they have diseases like you say they do, have you tried treating them with actual meds for it? Salt just won’t work on every disease there is, it might help with parasites but might not cut it.
Salt is always a good first treatment (along with water changes) to treating ailments before using chemicals.
Whenever you add aquarium salt it tells you on the back how much to add to your tank per gallon – for example, if its 2 Tbsp per 10 gallon, and you do a 50% water change, add 1 Tbsp back into your water… whatever you take out, treat that much with salt… if that makes sense??
I would suggest doing a water test though… to see where your levels are… along with anchor worm it sounds like they could have ich and possible septicemia.
only when you change the water. salt does not evaporate.
Some fish are salt sensitive. If you ad salt to a tank that has those fish you will kill them. Corydoras are one of the types that DO NOT like salt.
Salt content remains the same.Salt should be added whenever water is changed and the quantity of salt to be added depends on amount of water and not number of fishes.
