You can get just the tank for about $20 at wal-mart or target,
if you want a set that will include the filter, heater, etc. you are probably going to spend around $50-60. I would suggest getting the set because buying everything seperate will cost you alot more money then buying the set. Best Wishes

But a 10 gallon hex with filter and all is $119.00 which is not so bad. http://www.petco.com/Shop/petco_Product_R_10341_PC_productlist_Nav_217_N_24+115+359+30+9933_sku_897922_familyID_11536.aspx?cm_re=sep1081806-_-10pseaclear-_-btnright

If you just want a 10 gallon glass tank its usually around $20.00 and comes with basically nothing. You usually have to buy filter gravel, pump etc.

You’re better off to go to petsmart and get a tank. I got a 20 gallon complete setup for $30 a few weeks ago.

Bought one, costed about $50, and came with:

    tank
    filter with cartridge
    fish food samples
    hood with light

Sounds kinda expensive, but wouldn’t try petsmart, cause I’ve priced stuff there, and everything is more expensive there.

Pet stores will sell them cheaper when they are on sale. I’ve seen them as little as $35.00. They should come with heater, hood, florescent lights, filter, chlorine remover and food so you will only need to purchase substrate and decorations.

I bought my 10 gallon tank at Walmart with the filter, sample food, fake plants, the hood and the light. For $39.99, they don’t have it online, you have to go into the store.
