You won’t spend 30 dollars on guppies in a tank under 20 gallons…

Also, only betta, snails, and shrimp can be kept in a 5 gallon. You need to upgrade to even a ten gallon to put more in.

5 Gallon is too small for anything, besides betta fish, some types of snails, and small shrimp. 5 gallons for two guppies is torture, they are very active. Please upgrade.

if you have 2 male guppies in a 5g tank then you are at the limit.
    you cannot add anything else.
oh and you dont need to spend 30 dollars on fish.
guppies are like 2-3 dollars each.
a 5g tank is not that expensive its around 30-40 dollars the kit.it depends on what brand you choose.
so if you really want to have guppies you should get a bigger tank like a 10g tank.
its like 10 dollars empty and like 5 dollars for gravel filter is like 20 heater is like 15-20 and air pump is like 10 plus decorations and fake plants around 15. so you will prob. have enough for a ten gallon tank.but make sure you cycle it first.
in a 5g tank id say you should only have bettas, shrimp, snails,or endler’s.

    Hello :)

You could get 2 more guppies, snails, or ghost shrimp, but that’s really it. If you got a 10 gallon, with a filter and heater, you would have A LOT more choices. I got my 10 gallon tank with all the accessories off of eBay for $30. You could check on eBay or craigslist, or another option if that you can get a 10 gallon tank at Wal-Mart for $10, a filter for about $15, and a heater for about $15. Then you’d have $30 dollars left over for fish. I can’t really imagine why you would need $30 dollars for fish, because fish are mostly $1-5. You could get neon tetras, a few more guppies, snails, ghost shrimp, platies, cory cats, cherry or rosy barbs, or African dwarf frogs. Not all together of course, but do some research. Really all of those are compatible.

    Good luck :)

Also, if you get a 10 gallon, you could use the 5 gallon for a betta and a few snails or ghost shrimp. :)
