  1. IT'S ME!! says:

every fish should have 5 gallons of room for themselves. but if you want a few more you can add about ten more…..

You can safely put about 15-20 of these in a 55. If you get anemones, get Pacific ones, especially the stubby armed flowery shapes. Clown fish li9ke these best

note- make sure your copper levels are low before introducing anemones.

Do not mix clownfish species. Keep just a pair of one species, otherwise, it is very likely you will have a war on your hands at some point. The species of damsels will depend on the species of clowns. If you go with a smaller clown, like ocellaris, go with smaller damsels, like chromis or Talbot’s. A fully grown domino damself, for example, will easily bully and kill smaller species of clowns.

clownfish are incompatible with each other so choose ONE type and put a group of 5 in their plus an anenopme if u want to see interative behavor, just get five occelaris and 3 yellowtailed damsels.

never mix clowns. you can only get one type of clown and only 2 for a mated pair otherwise as they grow up they will attack each other. sometimes you get lucky and can keep 2 mated pairs one pair on each side of the tank. but always the same kind of clown. I recommend ocellaris, they are the least territorial. you can get damsels as well. I recommend the yellow tailed they are the most peaceful out of the damsels and you can get more than one of them. any other kind of damsel and you could only get a mated pair.

Never mix clowns because when they grow they will fight with each other.
