Alright, so i recently redid my whole entire fish tank. I got rid of the old rocks and added new ones, and put new water in it. How long should i wait before putting my fish in the fish tank?
One more question, what could i put them in while waiting?

You are supposed to wait for the bacteria to build up to keep the nitrate nitrite and ammonia levels down but a great way to speed this process up is to go to the store and buy some water conditioner and bacteria. i have aqueon water conditioner and api stress zyme+ bacteria. this will make the water ready to sustain life in a matter of hours as opposed to weeks.
I normally wait 24 hours for the temperature to regulate.
i normally wait until it has been 20 hours
I assume you are talking about a saltwater tank? If so then you need to cycle your tank so that all the nitrates, bacteria and salinity are at the correct levels. Also, you could use fish like damsils and other cheaper fish to help you cycle sooner.
If you got a new tank use the old one until the new one is ready.
