well i just bought a 40 gallon fish tank i was cleaning it with water and then i could not get some stuff clean so my mother recommended that i use the magic eraser. i dipped it in the water that was in my tank. remember there is no fish in the water i was just cleaning it. i only used the eraser on the hood but i dipped it in the water and i squeezed it out to the water in the tank too but then i realized maybe this was used with chemicals? so now i don’t know how to clean it so there will be no chemicals in the tank so the fish will not die. how can i clean it?????? i think the magic eraser was used with bleach or something. HELP!

Well scrub scrub scrub with normal water and let to evaporate. Hopefully your fish will be ok and the chemical won’t seep or anything. You won’t know if it’s gone until you put the fish in there and see if they are all okay, tbh.
You can buy soap at walmart or the pet store made for cleaning fish tanks, I think that is the safest way to go
