how can i make my aquariums stop smelling?

i just started keeping fish a few months ago and i have a 125, 90, 75, 55, 40t, and a 1 gallon aquarium. all of them are very healthy(even though i’m new i have done my homework) but my house kinda smells musty, and i have read that this is a good sign at a pet store, however it is not good at my house. so is there something that i can add to the water that will make it not smell and not harm my fish?
If you can smell your tank without having to actually sniff it…you have poor water quality. A tank when sniffed should smell of fresh dug earth and you would have to sniff the tank to smell it. Do your partial water changes on a regular basis and the stench should go away. I have 5 fish tanks and you would never know I had them if you didnt see them. Gravel vacs must also be done as this is where the smell is coming from.
You can open the lids and let it air out. Personally, I like the smell of a petstore.
Your house is now full of humidity. That is why it smells if your tanks are clean. Not sure what you an really do except open the windows for fresh air when you can. Sorry.
haha, i wish i could get more tanks as big as yours. i dont think you can add anything to the water, but my dad had a 150 gallon running in his house for a year or two and he put fish in and out which made me mad lol, but anyway it like started peeling away his paint and the paint just shriveled up. so if you live in a warmer place then that could be why it smells musty. but i used this pet smell killer when i used brine shrimp that smelled like crap lol. so the musty smell is probably the water evaporating, and the only way i know how to stop that is to switch to cold water systems, which im sure you wont do but youl have to deal with it, and get lysol ready =] best of luck!
Clean, make sure no dead fish, wash gravel,
if your water smells its poor quality water you need to do a water change it maybe algae too that smells also. theres nothing to put in it
That’s a lot of water in a house, but it still shouldn’t smell worse than an aquarium store.
Do you have enough carbon in your filter?
Clean It!!
