Help me with fish for a 55 gallon aquarium?

Hello. I’m moving soon and decided to get a 55 gallon fish tank for my room. I have my mind set on two things. I was thinking I would love an oscar but I would love to get a variety. I would like this; 3 silver dollars, 2 clown loaches, a clown pleco(4″ long), 2 pictus catfish, and 3 angelfish. Is this a decent selection? I have a few years worth of experience but I have only kept small tanks. I am so excited! Also note that I have a local fish shop that BUYS and sells fish so when any fish outgrow my tank, I will trade them in. I plan to perform weekly water changes of 30%. Is this pushing it with all these fish or would it be ok?

Sounds like a good mix, but I would recommend a larger school of silver dollars (approximately 5-6), though that could be pushing the limits for your tank. Weekly water changes of 30% sounds a bit much to me. I’ve never owned a 55gal, though, so I’m unsure of 30% is really needed.
2 FLOWERHORNS I BOUT 2 2 DAY
fresh water with 11 fish in a 55 gallon will be fine if you have a decent amount of water turn over and a good sub straight were bacteria can grow then i say go for it id be careful with the oscar though they can be a real pet for you and you can get rather attached to them but if they think that something might fit in there mouth then they usually try and eat it and even if you were to bye a small one they can grow quite quickly and other than that your selection of fish is Pretty good with the silver dollars i wouldn’t stress with that to much as i had one of these for years and it done fine bye its self
keeping small tank maid ur brain also small .dude ur choice of oscar was good u can all variety in that also
That’s a good mixture. You can also put in 1 clown pleco, 2 clown loaches, 3 platies, 3 blue mystery snails and 2 silver dollars.
