Got my betta a new tank?

My betta along with 2 ghost shrimps and 1 mystery snail are going to be moved from their 1 gallon tank to a 2.5 gallon tank. How long do I have to leave the filter and tank running before the fish go in?
How do I add the shrimp and snail though?

You betta can go in immediately. I’ve never heard of a mystery snail and ghost shrimp.

Betta actually don’t need to have a filter running in their tank. I have a fan tail betta and have it in a fall desk top fish bowl.

Until the water is CRYSTAL clear. Don’t forget to float them in a plastic bag of their old water for at least 20-30 minutes in their new tank water to prevent shocking them.

Awesome! Now they’re going to be very happy.
For the cycling process, it might take from 2-4 weeks to complete. However, you don’t need to cycle the tank before you put in your bettas. (So you can put the betta in the new tank the next day.) The snail and the shrimps are going to have a hard time in the new tank. My 3 of the 4 of my shrimps died during the cycling process. I should mention that 2 of them were killed by the betta.

It’s good that your moving up. any way you can put it in immediatly but if your worried let the tank cycle for a day or buy some cycle and put it in your filter and start immediately. good luck with your betta and vertabreas
