I ordered this toy and it took a little while before it arrived. IT is a very cute toy and the first night i put it in my sons crib (he is 7 months) he kept looking at it and after 4 mins. he fell asleep. It doesnt work like this everyday of course but its a cute toy and its soft. Dont buy this toy on Amazon, ive seen the same toy at Walmart for 12.99 so u can imagine that I regret ordering it from Amazon.

I bought this for my daughter when she turned 5 months hoping this will put her to sleep faster and maybe she won’t rely on her pacifier so much. Although the seahorse is very cute and soft it stops playing music way before my daughter falls asleep, she needs at least 20 minutes. She does like to play with it in the crib and the light in the belly is very interesting to her but if you buy this solely to help your little one fall asleep I would say consider something else with longer timer.
P.S.
Other reviewers are right, even BabiesRus sells it for much cheaper price as of Jan.16.

My 2 and a half years old daughter owns it since birth and it’s been by far her favorite toy. When she was around 10 months, she’s learnerd how to turn it on by herself and has been using it to soothe herself to fall asleep either when she goes to bed or when she wakes up in the middle of the night. Even though she sleeps in her own room she is a littly fussy to go to bed, so I sit around and turn on the toy and use is as a timer. Once is turns off (after around 5 min) she understands it’s time for mom to go, so she says bye bye with no whinning or crying.
also, during the transition time from her crib to a toddler bed this toy was also crucial. She would sneak to my bed asking to stay so I would just walk her back to her bed and wait in her room until the toy would turn off. I am 7 months pregnant now and have already fixed the baby’s rooom. She’s been bugging me to buy a new one to put on the new crib. I totally recomend it.

This reminds me of my glow worm when I was little. It’s super cute and easy for baby to turn on but the only draw back is that the music doesn’t even go longer than 5 mins at a time…it takes me daughter longer than 5 mins to fall asleep.

Grandma just bought this pink seahorse toy for our daughter who is 5 1/2 months old. She LOVES it! The music plays for about 5 minutes each time you press the seahorse’s tummy. Our baby can press it on her own and the music lulls her to sleep. She also likes to feel the satin “fins” on the seahorse. Great toy!
