Egg Mass in freshwater aquarium?

I have a 28 gallon freshwater tank with Neon Tetras, Glow Light Tetras, a dwarf goyramim, a chinese algae eater (I think), an Oto, 2 zebra danios, and a black kuhli loach.

The tank has only been up and running for 3 months and the algea eater I’ve only had for 2 weeks and is still pretty small.

The egg mass is grey in color with some small bubbles on it and is hanging down from a puece of floating plant and is about the size of a quarter. It must have been laid during the night.

There is also a small dark colored snail in there (which I haven’t seen in about a week) that came on a plant.

So any ideas who might have laid them? And is there a way to tell if there fertile?
Also could it be a bubble nest from the male gourami?
Well the mass is gone, the gourami I think ate it.

I’m pretty sure it wasn’t the snail, which I finally saw again today. It’s tiny, about 1/10th the size of the mass and not an infestation yet anyway.

I finally found a blury pic of something of a bubble nest made by a qiurami that i think looks like what I had.

The eggs are definitely from the snail. It is the only thing in your tank with adhesive eggs. The bubbles likely just got caught there, but it is possible that the Gourami left them there. Infertile eggs will fungus or cloud, while fertile eggs will stay a transparent color until they hatch. Unless you want a massive snail invasion (you likely have more than one already), you might want to simply vacuum out the eggs now.
