Yep, they flash like that (the yellow mark) as part of their mating “dance” or whatever you’d care to call it. Then they charge back and forth across the tank.
But I’ve since sold the tanks because of an upcoming move.
a lovely tank… i have 3 in my tank with my goldfish and they look like they want to mate
but i fear the tank is too crowded for the young to survive i not sure what to do juss yet. they doing what look like mating displays … and this light yellow line appears infront of their head and their fins go erect. anything like that in your tank?
Great tank love the plants ESP bannana plants other than outside pond plants I have never been able to keep any tank plants alive for long they get algae and die.
As you know outside in a pond with sunlight throw any plant in it and boom it grows and spreads.
I know Rainbowfish people are like a “cult” they love their rainbow fish
