Yes. Green puffers are brackish fish. You may have purchased it from a store that sold it as a freshwater fish, and it may have been kept in an entirely freshwater tank, but it would still prefer brackish water.
Yes. Puffer’s are usually brackish fish (Not completely salt water, but there is salt in them usually found in river outlets to the ocean)
The first thing that will suprise you is how much salt is required to create brackish water, a 60 litre (15 us gallon) aquarium will use the best part of a 1kg box of salt to bring the SG up to 1.010.
