aquarium freshwater salt helps fishes heal faster say if they had a large cut, or are recovering from Ick, etc…. i am not sure whether your fish parasites will clear up using the salt (i was told thats only a myth). it doesn’t hurt to try it yourself tho. and i don’t think it will clear up the water either. try looking for some of that water clearer stuff @ WalMart i swear they have it i saw it, and the greenish appearance could be due to algae since its outside, its getting a ton of natural sunlight. you can get something to fix that at walmart too. i saw these things there i just never bought them.

and per every 10 gallons its one good Tablespoon of freshwater salt. im not sure what brand of salt ur using exactly but thats what the directions say on mine. good luck, and LUCKY….i want a fish pond…..

Use a UV filter for the algae. Algae are causing the green coloration of the pond.
When you use salt, it is good to maintain a 1-3% concentration in fresh water. my pond is just 160gal and i put 1.33kg of non-iodized salt, sea salt or canning salt. any salt which has no additives.
