Custom Aquarium Background – 55 gallon Mbuna Cichlids

Folks, This is a video of the first custom background I ever built. I’ve built many since, and have learned alot in the process. The background is made from polystyrene (styrofoam) and Quikwall cement with liquid color added during mixing. The tank is a 55 gallon and the fish are Mbuna Cichlids from Lake Malawi in Africa. The floating plant is Hornwart and the sand is white silica typically used in swimming pool filters. About $10.00 for a 50lb bag in the US.
