What Is Best Food & Care For Fish Tank?

I just started aquarium, well fish tank the size of 25 gallons. Got variety of fish in it: tinfoil barb, rainbow shark, rosy barb, Pleco (for cleaning purposes), and silver shark.
All is well. Water clear, and fish seems to be healthy. I am really into this fish thing now, and in being so, feel worried if I might do something wrong here or there, any time.
Need advice. Are the following care procedures correct:
1. Change 25% of tank water, and clean filter once a week.
2. The Coral (natural) inside tank have turned kinda yellow little bit, but I am not going to clean, as they say may hold good bacteria for the tank, so should not clean Coral.
3. The tank is in semi lit living room (not dark, not at all), but there is no exposure to actual sun rays, and I do not turn the inner tank light that much. 6 hours a day only. But I assure you they are not living in a dark place.
4. Feeding. Most important. Heard many tragic endings to many fish cause of over-feeding. That is why I feed them ONCE a day. A small amount of Tetra flakes, Sera sticks. Only yesterday, bought some expensive dried shrimp – made in China (says for large sized fish, but the pet shop guy, says OK for small fish, just grind the shrimp with your fingers, make them powdery!).
Regarding feeding. I know from all sources that many agree that if fish cannot finish their food within 2 minutes, then they should not be fed more. Yet I notice, that they always finish food within 1 minute!! even larger portions! So…should I keep feeding them, till they stop eating…or what exactly.
I hate to see them get bloated, or sick, and hope this will never happen. May be I should starve them for a day or two, just to be on the safe side that I am not doing any overfeeding!
Any other suggestions as to use of products like Tetra Crystal Clear Water, etc…will be grateful for.
The tank is clear, and shiny, yet would like to know if any of the Tetra clear, etc stuff is advisable. As some have warned me it might be lethal to some fish!

Aquariums Full Of Fish?

aquariums in pictures and in advertisements always look like they have a ton of fish in them or that the fish that they do have take up a lot of space. When I checked online though, it said that I could only have 5 fish in my ten gallon tank. And most fish at the pet store said that they needed to be kept in schools of five or more, this only allows me to choose one fish species and now, my fish tank looks empty with just one little clump of 5 guppies in one corner, it just doesn’t look like an aquarium without the number and size of fish that you see in pictures. Is there any way to get around that number and keep a full tank of many different fish in such a small tank?

Im Looking At Getting About 6 Gerbils, What Size Aquarium Would I Need?

First off 6 gerbils is WAY too many. It can to breeding which can lead to inbreeding. Two would be the ideal amount. Unless you’re looking to breed, there is no reason for 6 gerbils. For each gerbil they need at least “12 x “12 inches of living space. So unless you’re looking to get a 6 foot aquarium, you should just stick with two.
