Can my betta live with my glo fish?

I have a female betta in a tiny aquarium and i also have 2 Rasboras, 1 swordtail, and a glo fish. I was wondering if my yellow glo fish would nip at my betta if i put my betta into the bigger aquarium.

Please answer only if you’re pretty sure you’re right

thx

NO they can not be together the glo fish will nip at the bettas fins and she will get mad and might attak the fish she might also die from being tired.

I have a 10 gallon tank with real and fake plants. One male Betta, one female, 5 neon tetras and 5 glowfish tetras, and just bought a golden algae eater today. They seem to be doing fine. Lots of the websites I read that that tetras are a really good tank-mate for bettas. I recommend picking up a “tropical aquarium guide book” from your locol pet store.

    It helped me out alot.

oh..make sure that you don’t add any fish that looks like a betta in the tank…any fish with long fins…angel fish and gouramis etc.etc.

I would ask the place I bought the fish from, but I’m thinking it isn’t a very good idea.

It is definitely possible, but just be prepared for fin nipping.

I think your yellow glo-fish is nippy cause he wants more glo-fish friends. They like to be in a school. I would think regular zebra danios would be ok for him to school with (If you’d want to).
As for moving the betta, try it, but keep her tank ready for her to come back to so if you see any problems you can move her back is she’s bugged too much or if she’s a bully.
