Can I use a glue gun for building an aquarium ornaments for my red ear slider?

I would like to make aquarium ornaments for my red ear slider, I would like to ask if hot glue gun is safe and non toxic, because I don’t want any harmful chemicals to contaminate the water in my res aquarium?
If you are using any kind of glue-toxic to the fish Go to a Petstore and find out manufacturer of the ornaments then call and ask what they use. Definitely no glue
I wouldn’t.
Get some aquarium-safe silicone (the same stuff they use to stick the edges of aquariums together) from a pet store and use that. Make sure you follow the instructions on how long to let it cure before putting it into the water.
Also, remember that anything you put in that turtle’s aquarium is one more thing you’re going to have to clean every time you clean that tank, so give serious thought to how much you want to decorate it.
It is safe but it may not hold if it is placed in water. Either use aquarium sealant or epoxy putty, it’s used to hold stuff like corals together.
Its safe enough, but weak. Try aquarium-grade silicone instead.
i don’t think the glue would hold either. you can buy aquarium sealant (silicone) sold to seal cracks in tanks at many pet stores. it is safe, but make sure it is dried and aired out before putting it in the tank. i’ve used silicone to glue rocks together for a terrarium and when i tried to remove individual stones they wouldn’t budge.
