Eventually, rainbow sharks can get large enough to eat guppies, so I wouldn’t recommend mixing them.
First, he will definitely not be okay with the Guppies and Mollies. I had an incident where my Rainbow Shark literally shredded one of my Mollies overnight. Rainbow Sharks are highly territorial, and Mollies and Guppies have no sense of such boundaries– they will haplessly wander right into the Shark’s selected territory, where they will promptly be escorted out by being bitten.
Second, Rainbow Sharks get much too large for a 14 gallon tank… at the VERY least, you’d want a 20 gallon tank, and even then, that is really pushing it. A 3+ foot tank is a much better option, considering how much swimming room this fish should have. I’d strongly suggest you take it back as soon as possible; if not tonight, isolate it so it can’t get at your other fish.
first of all you should by fish from a place were they are specialized in animal you do not know how sick it could be. and the are very territorial. you should have some fish that a fast and know its tank limits. i have a rainbow shark my self it dose fine with my fish. i have a 4 tiger barb 3 giant Danio a betta and a fire mouth ciclid.
I’d listen to nosoop4u246. I own a male betta and I’ve tried finding him tank mates so many times and almost just as many times have regreted buying a certain fish :/ take it back while you still can.
