can a 14 year old work at a aqaurium?

i really need a job, my parents are struggling with money so i would like earn my own pocket money. i would like to work in my local aquarium (Im going there for work experience), i love fish and i plan to work in a big aquarium one day (the aquarium here is small) so this job is pretty much perfect. could i work there at all or am i too young? also could i work in small corner shop? or a small florist shop? or at a very small museum?
oh also PLEASE do not suggest internet surveys they are all scams and i would like a proper job
thanks

Best way to find out is to call the places and ask them.

    It depends.
Just go to places and ask for job applications and ask what age you have to be.
I think you could get a job at an aquarium. You can at least volunteer for the experience :)
And those places all seem like places that 14 year olds could work!
good luck and good for you :)

I applaud your interest in an early start into the working force.

You could very well work there as a part timer, you would most likely not earn even close to what an adult/trained professional would since you’re underage and still in school. But it never hurts to try, write your resume and hand it to them personally since it will help them get a feel for what kind of person you are!

    Good luck to you!

Babysitting is a great idea, since most establishments don’t offer jobs to people under 18. If not, you could try the grocery store or a fast food restaurant, I’m sure they can hire 14 year olds.

14 is a bit too young to be having a formal job. You can do jobs around your neighborhood or jobs for your parents like chores, or even an online job ( http://sites.google.com/site/quick4cash ). I remember doing jobs for my neighbor, by mowing his lawn. Have fun!

well i think most serious jobs like in an aquarium/ corner/ florist shop all only allow 16 year olds!!! i know, it sucks, and im so sorry!!! but hey wat i did was put up babysitting flyers around the neighborhood. i think u could do the same or maybe do like dog walking or snow shoveling, stuff like that. i hope this helps! :)

At 14, you are probably too young to work at those places.
Only way to verify is to call them and ask.
