I just checked the filter from my fish tank (10 gallon- 2 goldfish) out jumped a fly the size of a fruit fly. looking closer I could see a little worm- beige with a black head- crawling on the filter! I checked online and got to know its name: psychodidae (moth fly) but there is no more information. Can it harm my gold fish, do they bite? the fish seem sluggish at one point and aggressive to each other sometimes. what do I have to do next? is there any way to stop this fly from reproducing?
