AQUA Freshwater Aquarium, Denmark
Denmark’s AQUA is the largest freshwater aquarium in Europe. It’s unique galleries include artificial lakes with side viewing glasses, which simulate typical lake ecosystems in Denmark. This video serves as a guide of common European freshwater fish species that are found at AQUA. I worked in a other Aquarium and in our “polluted lake” we never polluted the water as seen in nature. The poor visability is created by clay and is not in any way harmful for the fish and the water levels are always top in any Aquarium believe me.
AquaticLifeForm : You should realy try see them attack, and catch one on rod, they have a incribible way to attack the lure, and they are so brutal, i’ve got 3 im my aquarium, and on of them attack fish the same size of it selv, not to eat the fish, just to kill and show his rang.

around nibe in a small river called binderup we where out fishing 2 times in 2 weeks first time we caught a 6 pound rainbow trout wich is the biggest fish we ever caught down there then the next week we went down again the same place we caught a 7 pound rainbow trout last day of the season for fishing there was a competition and the one who had caught the biggest fish of the year got 1000 danish money and a trophy for a year but cause we couldnt come we didnt got it

I’m an animal keeper student, this video is quite old I think, but it’s fun to see it on youtube. 
I love working there. 
Apart from all our fish, Aqua also houses lots of other animals such as birds, racoons (as seen in the video), beavers, minks, nutria and otters.

Thanks. Yes, unfortunately the big pikes were hiding behind some branches, away from the glass, that day so we couldn’t really get a clear shot of them. Just another excuse to visit it again one day.
Hmm, it’s a great movie, but its sad that it dosent show the big pikes they have in aqua. And some of the really huge eel’s to.

I agree skunk. People might be surprised by what beautiful animals live in freshwater. Especially fish like Pumpkinseeds that have bright blue and orange scales.
It’s so wonderful to see a museum dedicated to freshwater fish. Where I live most of the museums are at the least mixed, if not full of saltwater exhibits. I think that the freshwater world can be as exciting if not more so than the marine world.
