ok am new with this sport, i have sea anemone fish(not carpet) maroon clown fish, yellow tang, two corals, live rocks,,shrimp and Black Banded Serpent Star ..for now.. i will buy more ….. but my clown fish don’t want to eat, i don’t know why. ALL of them are hiding behind the rocks. i cant see them all day only at night they are active….do u know why?

  6. ken668 says:

Yes, they can kill fish. The Rose BTA does not have a really strong sting though. I guess it depends on how large/strong the fish is. I’m sure they will tend to stay away while awake, although they could drift into anemone when sleeping.

Well, not really. They just feel sticky and weird, but if you touch it with your tongue then your tongue will blow up like a balloon because the tongue has a thinner skin then your hands so yeah. LOL
PS: me and my friends freaked out when we tried to touch it! And then volunteer and my teacher laughed when they saw our faces! :P

  15. ken668 says:

Jesus! Why is it so difficult for people to wrap their minds around the concept of spawning?? IT IS SPAWNING. It’s not excreting. I had this anemone for over 3 years. You think it kept it’s waste bottled up so much that it only went once during that time???? Don’t think so.

    Correct +1

  17. ken668 says:

You are wrong. They are capable of both.

  18. wldcrd26 says:

they reproduce by spliting this ones going to the toilet its excreting

  19. ken668 says:

Unfortunately, it takes more than just lighting to recreate a patch of ocean in our living rooms. The loss could be from any number of factors including, flow, salinity, nitrate/nitrite/ammonia lvls, chemical responses, etc. I’m sorry to hear of your loss.

hmmm. Well I have 96 watt 10,000K and 96 watt True Actinic 03 Blue square pin base compact fluorescent lamps in a 46 gallon aquarium, and after two weeks of having the anemone it died…any suggestions? Do I need more light (even though it sounds like you have the same that I do). Any help is most appreciated!!

  21. ken668 says:

This was a 90g tank. At the time I was using 4x96w Power Compacts for lighting. :)

  22. cutietwo22 says:

what kind of lighting do you use for your anemone?

  23. frankster262 says:

he fragged him self…. you can also make him split with cissors, people do it to get multiple anemones.. (makevelithedon96)
