A liter of 2M NaOH solution contains how many grams of NaOH?

1. In order to maintain a Sodium chloride concentration similar to ocean water, an aquarium must contain 3.6 grams NaCl per 100 grams of water. What is the % by mass of NaCl in the solution?
2.You have 1500.0 g of a bleach solution. The % by mass of the solute sodium hypochlorite, NaOCl, is 3.62%. How many grams of NaOCl are in the solution? How many grams of solvent are in the solution?
3.What is the % by volume of Ethanol in a solution that contains 35 mL of Ethanol dissolved in 115 mL of water?
4.If you have 100.0 mL of a 30.0% aqueous solution of Ethanol, what volumes of Ethanol and water are in the solution?
5.A 100.5 mL intravenous (IV) solution contains 5.10 g of glucose (C6H12O6). What is the Molarity of this solution. The molar mass of glucose is 180.16 g/mol.
6.What is the Molarity of a bleach solution containing 9.5 g of NaOCl per liter of bleach?
7.How many grams of CaCl2 would be dissolved in 1.0 L of a 0.10M solution of CaCl2?

  1. kat<3 says:

    what did you just paste your homework up here?
    you go to be kidding dude

  2. tOOt says:

    1.
    % mass
    = mass of solute/mass of solution x 100%
    = 3.6g/100+3.6 x 100%
    = 3.4749%
    =3.48%

    2.% mass
    = mass of solute/mass of solution x 100%
    3.62%= ? / ? + solution x 100%
    0.0362 = ? / ? + solution

    3.
    % volume
    =35ml / 35+115ml x 100%
    =23.33%

    4.
    % volume
    = volume of ethanol/ volume of solution x 100%
    30%=?/100ml x 100%
    0.3= ?/100ml
    =
    the ? is the volume of ethanol
    after finding the volume of ethanol. substrat 100ml find the volume of ethanol to find the volume of water.

    5. Molarity
    = moles / volume
    =(5.10g / 180.16) / [100.5ml / 1000ml ]
    =0.282M

    6.
    Molarity
    = moles / volume
    =(9.5g / Mole wt of NaOCl) / 1L
    = ANSWER

    7.
    Molarity = moles / volume
    0.1M = (? / Mole wt of CaCl2) / 1L
    = ? is THE ANSWER

    MAYBE u would want to check if its correct… but the concept is there…
