@jwalker43081 My 90g system has a black back and the 30g system has a blue back so not so sure what you mean by clean. i would not paint it. Instead i would by a reversible background of blue and black. this way you can change the look on a yearly basis or choose the one you like best after set up.
great video man i like all the ideas….just got done with my 72 as far as running the vinegar and bleach, let me get your opinion on painting the back of the tank black please or leaving it clean like yours, i could go either way but that is where im at right now with my system….
@jacobor79 A calcium reactor is for large aquariums that have wall to wall SPS corals in the system. my 90g system was mostly fish dominated and did not require heavy dosing of calcium so 1 cap full of b-ionic of each component a day is all it takes. I also feed my fish daily so taking the time o dose after feeding keeps me coming back to either feed or dose the system. I do plan on having wall to wall corals in the near future and when I get there, a calcium reactor will be needed.
just a show idea. 2-part calcium/alk vs. Calcium reactor. Your tank size would do either, what made you decide on bionic? Additionally, will the reactors have enough flow to have dedicated returns in the tank.
@safaridave28 Carbon in one and phosphates in the other with individual pumps.
@newyorksteelo
Are you running both individually? Seperate pumps, ect? and do you run Carbon in both of them? or what do you run in the second one?
@safaridave28 Hmm, I have seen some double media reactors before, maybe MRC makes em not quite sure, but heres the thing. It is quite possible to daisy chain 2 reactors. simply add one pump to one and the output of the first one put it on the input of the other one and viola, you got a dual media reactor ;0
I noticed you had two Media Reactors, I am assuming one is for Carbon and one is for Phophate remover? Are they Daisy Chained together? or do they run seperatly? I would like to ad Carbon and Phosphate remover to my sump like you have, but havn’t been able to find a reactor that can be used together, Like have a pump push water into one ractor and then plumb that reactor into the second one, rather than have two individual reactors working, they would work inline with each other.
@2424Anthony I have 2 phosban reactors, one for carbons and one for phosphate media.
Where do you place the carbon….. Because I See People place Them In Little Bags Ar It Comes With It?
@anthony81811 Read the comments below cause someone asked the same question and I answered him
love ur vids……u prob get this question alot and prob said it before but where do u buy ur carbon and chemi pure?……..thanks for everything….
@ballerbrian4u Thats coming in the near future so stay tuned. Thanks for the comment and for watching
Heyyy love all your videos and would realy love to see a video in detail about carbon and gfo
@Azthuglove Not to worry buddy. The inlet jets are for the reactors and the tank only drains up to a certain point in which the sump can easily hold the water volume. Thanks for the suggestion though
those return outlet or inlets that your putting on each side of the tank what are they being used for cause if those are just returning water u got to worry about back siphon when power goes off
@ryjack26
@bmwbmerz8 Noooo buddy. During the cycle process, no water changes should be performed or you are interrupting the cycle process continuously. Let the aquarium grow all the bacteria needed to sustain itself. Good luck and thanks for the suggestion.
@newyorksteelo lol, mr. popular now haha. u deserve it, you spend a lot of time making good quality vids!
@ryjack26 Ohhh so before I wasn’t cool lol JK
@ryjack26 I agree with you. I actually painted it in the guess room and it is ready for use already. Thanks for the tip.
@ReviewKid365 Hmmm, you may have a point here when the power cord uses a transformer, however, do not forget that I have all the electrical GFI outlets inside of the stand
@finger11yo Thanks
@bilbobag111 Thank you buddy
Looking good man, enjoying the videos and got my tank up and running and doing water changes like crazy as the tank cycles with the live rock. Thanks for all the help!
