30 gallon Hex Aquarium question?

Hi, I have a 20-30 gallon hex aquarium that I used to use then went back to my 20 standard tank cuz it looks much better. ANYWAY I was wondering if anyone would possibly know if the HEX aquarium is made of acrylic or plexiglass? I was wondering because I had the idea of cutting up the hex and using the sheets to make a wet/dry filter out of it as its a large tank and would provide PLENTY of material for the wet dry, maybe even enough to make 2. Also if anyone has any tips on cutting it that would be helpful. I have a dremel or I could probly use my brother in laws table saw? I also remember seeing you can use a hand saw? or hack saw? I don’t know any incite would be MUCH appreciated! thanks!
No it’s not glass. It is most likely acrylic. It has smooth rounded bent corners not joined by silicone.

Not plexi….. its gotta be acrylic. Do you want to drill a hole in it? cause if you do. i have a video for you!

Its hard to tell without looking at it but there are a few noticeable differences. I’m assuming its acrylic. most acrylics scratch easily if you notice scratches on it it may be a sign of acrylic.
    hope this helps some

it’s probably glass.. unless the ‘glass’ is curved around trhe corners.. if there’s silicone caulk in between them it’s glass..

cut along the silicone and use glass cutting tools to rework the glass..

a 30 gallon hex tank probably isn’t that big and would yeild a very small, ineffective wet/dry.. but hey do what you want to do..

my guess it that it’s glass
